Lifereef Float Switch

This float switch can be used as a refill switch or a pump shut-off switch. Use to automatically add water to your system from a reservoir container or direct from a reverse osmosis filter, as a pump saver to shut off a water pump if the water level gets too low, or for a protein skimmer waste collector to shut off the skimmer thus preventing a flood.

For in-sump skimmers that can flood the collection cup when power comes back on you can use this float switch to keep the protein skimmer pump "off" until the sump has come to operating level, then the skimmer pump will come "on".

A Universal Mounting Bracket is included and for those with Lifereef sumps/filters the float fits into the Accessory Rack.

No sump? No problem. Simply mount the switch to the aquarium rim.

Simple to set up and operate, the float switch goes in the sump or aquarium and connects to the control box. The pump, or device to be controlled, plugs into the control box. The control box does all the switching so there is very little load on the float switch allowing it to last much longer than other switches. The control box has a 10 amp rating. Switching is controlled by a solid state Triac not a relay that can stick or make noise. This is THE ONLY switch that does NOT put 120 volts in your water!!! The float switch material is completely salt water safe and is baffled so that waves do not affect the float.

This switch has a separate control box and switch unit. This allows these components to be replaced individually should either fail without having to purchase a whole new unit.

The float is reversible and can be user changed for "ON" control or "OFF" control.
